In the majority of cases, getting disconnected from the game ("Fierce storms prevent us from reaching Berk! Please reconnect!" message) occurs due to connection instability. Having an unstable connection can present problems such as lagging/sync issues, leading to actions or resources taking a moment to be reflected correctly, or even being able to access the game properly, leading to disconnections.
In such cases, please be sure that your device has a stable internet connection. We strongly recommend playing on a stable Wi-fi connection with good signal (not too far away from the access point) and avoiding usage of mobile data connections as they can be spotty. Additional troubleshooting options include:
- Close the game and restart your device.
- Check your device for software updates.
- Do not run any other applications in the background while playing the game.
- Turn Airplane Mode On/Off. This will refresh your connection.
Keep in mind that in some cases, you may not be able to connect due to the game being under scheduled or emergency maintenance. In these cases, the game will be back online shortly within a few hours, and we appreciate your patience in the meantime.
