Gathering Buildings are static buildings on Berk that allow your dragons to gather resources for you. These can be built and upgraded and are available in several areas, indicated by a Fish or Wood banner. These have limited spots, starting at a single slots and being upgradeable to 3 spots maximum. This will contribute to your total number of spots, which determines how many dragons you are able to send out to gather per resource.

 

 

The Sawmill allows up to three dragons to gather Wood. The amount of Wood they are able to collect will be determined by their Wood gathering ability. There are Sawmills available in multiple areas to be constructed and upgraded, including but not limited to your starting island, the Old Forest and Dragons Cliff.

 

The Fish Hut allows up to three dragons to gather Fish. The amount of Fish they are able to collect will be determined by their Fish gathering ability. Note that some dragons are unable to gather Fish. There are Fish Huts available in multiple areas to be constructed and upgraded, including but not limited to your starting island, the Old Forest and Dragons Cliff.

 

The Smithy allows an unlimited amount of dragons to collect Iron. The amount of Iron they are able to collect will be determined by their Iron gathering ability. Note that not all dragons can collect Iron. Completing the Fading Memories quest or directly building the Smithy unlocks Iron as a resource.
