Gauntlets are limited time events with similar core gameplay to Brawl. You'll be putting together a team of 3 dragons to fight a series of battles that happen across a Battle Map. Each battle has multiple waves with 1-3 opponent dragons. Winning a battle grants you a wheelspin (Dragon Riders get 2 wheelspins) to get rewards and allows you to move forward to the next battle/node on the map. The ultimate goal, however, is to reach the final node which features a grand prize!

 

Keep in mind that Gauntlets have a Stamina system, which is individual to each Gauntlet. The total can range from 3-5 Stamina, and participating in a battle, regardless of win or loss, consumes 1 Stamina. Stamina takes 4 hours to replenish or can be purchased with Runes, so keep this in mind as you battle.
