The Academy allows you to train your dragons once they have been sufficiently fed and are ready for their next training. As you level up your dragons, you will encounter certain levels where your dragon needs to be trained rather than fed. This will require you to use Wood to send the dragon to the Academy for a specified amount of time so it can advance to the next level. The Academy can be found southeast of your Meade Hall, near the Hangar.

The Academy starts at Level 1 with a single slot. In order for your dragons to be able to be trained to higher levels, you will need to upgrade your academy, which will also change its look. During the construction time, dragons cannot be trained. To train more than one dragon at a time, you may expand the Academy to get additional slots, up to 9 max. Note that the Academy info shows how many slots you have obtained out of the max 9, rather than the amount of slots in use (for example, 6/9 means 6 total slots out of the max 9).
