Of course! You are not limited to your main Berk island that you start off on. Additional neighboring islands allow you to expand your play area and obstacles can be cleared to grant you even more space.

As you progress and upgrade your Meade Hall and increase your Viking population, you will discover broken Bridges to neighboring islands that need repairing. You may tap on these broken Bridges (or the "Expand" sign) to check their requirements and the resources needed. Once built, the island can be accessed and your useable territory expanded so you can place more dragons and structures!

Additional islands that are not connected via Bridge are also available. These can be unlocked by using Runes rather than through progression. Simply tap on the "Expand" sign to learn more.

Most islands will have natural obstacles on them that prevent placing structures. These obstacles come in the form of Rocks and Trees. These Rocks and Trees can be removed to grant you even more useable space within that island. Removing them requires resources. To remove Rocks and/or Trees, simply tap them to view their information. On the left side of the screen, you will find the option to "Remove" along with the Fish or Wood cost. Note that not all Rocks and Trees can be removed from the get-go, and will require you to upgrade your Berk.
